It used to be that online MBA programs were looked down upon as a poor alternative to traditional, on-campus programs. The online versions were thought to be not as rigorous academically, as well as isolating, leaving no room to build professional relationships or networks. Thankfully, that is not the case. Most online MBA programs are the same curriculum as their on-campus counterparts and are taught by the same faculty. This means you’re getting the same quality program but with the added flexibility of its online nature. There is a whole online universe filled with high-quality online MBA programs out there. You just need to find the best one for you. To help you out, here is a list of the 15 Best Virginia Online MBA programs.
When considering an online MBA program, the fact that it’s done remotely is one of the most significant benefits. This allows for increased flexibility in terms of when students must dedicate time to their courses. Many programs are asynchronous, meaning there is no set time for classes. Students can simply listen to lectures whenever it is convenient for them. Other programs do have set, synchronous, class times. However, since you’re able to attend from wherever you already are, it still saves the time needed to get to campus. More and more programs are offering hybrid MBA programs, which is excellent for students who desire face-to-face interaction. With this option, students can choose to do part of their program online and part on-campus. Others also have residencies, usually over a weekend, where everyone in the program gathers on campus for in-depth study and networking opportunities. Some even have study abroad options, if that’s important for you. The wonderful thing about online MBA programs is that there is bound to be a program out there that fits your career goals and your lifestyle.
